Lubos Paso presents our annual CPC show RIZAL!. Don’t know who Jose Rizal is?!?! Come to our show to learn of this national hero of the Philippines. Come support your friends and family who will take part in singing, acting, and dancing. This is a great opportunity to get educated on what the Filipino culture is like. Our show will be on May 26th @6pm-10pm at the Sturges Center in San Bernardino.

We’ve been pretty busy for the whole month of April! Whew! but we would like to update you all on upcoming events for this month on MAY!!! We will be having a general meeting this Wednesday, May 2nd, @6m in the Sycamore room (Lower Commons) We have pretty awesome events for this month and we wouldn’t want you to miss them! So make sure to come this Wednesday! Also, there will be Tinikling practice right after meeting! Please try to come on time! CPC is just around the corner guys! It’s crunch time! TIME TO GO HARD OR GO HOME!!! Hope to see you all this Wednesday!

   As for our announcements, we will be focusing on our major events this quarter such as Community Service, CPC, Benefit Show, and Stussy Sale!

Hey everyone! It’s CRUNCH TIME with studying and we all know how that goes -__- This Wednesday, March 14th, we will be having a study sesh in the Lower Commons where we usually have our meetings and it’s going to start at 6pm-8pm. This is a great time to gather your study group and study study study! Spread the word! If you know people that gave up social networking for lent please inform them about this! We don’t want them to miss out :) Plus we’re providing snacks! :p Let’s ace all those finals! :D

Everyday about 80 newborns die in Vietnam due to lack of oxygen and proper medical attention needed. Funds are needed for Project Vietnam to provide medical training to personnel for newborn resuscitation and CPR kits.

Project VN needs our help to raise an additional $27,000 for their mission that is taking place in March 2012. It’s up to us to help give these newborns an opportunity to a “new breath of life.”

This is our first BIG charity event and we have a great line-up of talented individuals and groups that will be competing head-to-head for prizes and pride! We will open the doors at 5:30pm at the Santos Manuel Student Union Theater, the show will start at 6pm and will end around 9:30pm.

*Presale tickets are reserved on call list on Google Documents, so please provide your first and last name and how many tickets you will need. The presale call list will be open until March 6th. To reserve your tickets now, go here.

Parking at CSUSB is $5 for the entire day. The parking pass is good for any parking lot, however, we suggest that you park in Lot D as it is closest to the Student Union. Here is a map of the campus for those of you who are not familiar with CSUSB.

Come out and help us support Project Vietnam’s ‘Breaths For Newborns’ Campaign! All proceeds will be donated towards Project VN’s campaign. We are also accepting donations! For more information about the organization, visit their website here. We have a wonderful line up for the talent show.

hey guys ! so im signing up for relay for life tomorrow and i was wondering if anyone wants to do it (: i think its like $5 if we register by tomorrow. lets all do it ! ive been talking to my cousin about all the marathons she does for it cause her dad passed away recently and i like really want to do it and i would love it if we did this event like forsure. PLEASE !! and if we dont, ill be taking donations cause my cousins goals are always like 1500 but mine is going to be like 300 from like friends and family [lubos and blood]. 


im “relaying” in honor of my uncle who passed a year ago and im getting a shirt made with his name and/or face on it. probs a tank. so if any of you guys know anyone who passed or beat it, lets “relay” in honor of them.

VALENTINE’S DAY SOCIAL!!!!!

Okay ladies and gentledudes Lubos is having a Valentine’s day social THIS WEDNESDAY Feb. 15th @ the Riverside Ice Town! Couples and non couples aka FOREVER ALONE people are more than welcomed to come! We will not be having our general meeting. Just the social instead :) If you would like a ride there, meet @ the lower commons where we usually have our meetings at 6 pm SHARP! If you don’t need a ride, then feel free to go straight to the place at 6:30pm SHARP! NO FILIPINO TIME IS ACCEPTED! Or whatever your ethnicity may be haha Remember you don’t HAVE to be with someone in order to go. The purpose of our socials is to bond and spend more QT time together :)

February Vlog!

KRISPY KREME SALE!!!!!!

We will be selling these delicious donuts at school on the 18th and 19th of this week! We would love some volunteers to help out with the sale! If you’re interested and if you have the time, please wear your Lubos tanktop! You can find us in the Student Union around 10am -2pm.

Winter break is over and it’s back on that school grind -____- but hey it’s nice to reconnect with everyone again! We certainly missed all of you. Hope you all had a fabulous break. So just a few things that’s going on for this week:

1. We are tabling this whole week so if you know anyone who would like to join, come find us posted outside next to Starbucks from 10am-2pm! Remember, it’s NEVER too late to join! :) Tell your friends about us! :) 

2. This FRIDAY, JAN.13th is the start of CPC class! Class starts at 4pm ON THE DOT! It will be at the den which is located in the back of Jack Brown Building next to the pool area. If you have trouble looking for it, call any board member to help you out. We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes (gym wear) and bring water. We will be having auditions for the play on that day so once you come, Pete (CPC Coordinator) will break it down so that you understand what is going on. The auditions are for acting in the play only. We will be going over some dances later. So if you have any questions regarding the auditions, please talk to Pete. If there’s any additional questions regarding the class please contact any of the CPC coordinators Pete, Jason, and Christian. :)

3. THERE IS NO GENERAL MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY JAN. 11th Which is today tehehe. Sorry! 

4.THIS MONDAY JAN. 16th is our Family Day Social!!!!! YAHHHH!!!! It’s Martin Luther King Jr. day and we thought if yall’ are not doing anything on that day, then you should come spend some time with your family and as one big Lubos family!! We will be having it at University Village which are the apartments across the street from school. It will be held from 1pm-4pm and if you’re family wants to bring food then you guys are more than welcome to! Either if it’s just for you and your fam or if you would like to share with everyone is up to you :) Your Ateh and Kuya should be notifying you about this asap. 

Next Week:

5. GENERAL MEETING next week! Jan.18th held in the Sycamore room (lower commons) at 6pm! Make sure to attend to this meeting because we will be breaking down what’s expected in CPC and other additional information for upcoming events! :)

6. Krispy Kreme Sale Jan.18th and 19th !!!! We will be having our Krispy Kreme sale on these dates. We need volunteers to help sell yummy donuts and Spread the word about it to your colleges, friends, or lover(s) hahah We will give you more info on it at gen meeting and an event page will be posted asap :)
